• Building and maintaining networks to higher education institutions, funding organisations, non-governmental organisations, industry
• Identifying opportunities for collaboration at a national, state and local scale (Germany, Europe, Australia and New Zealand)
• Effectively an “embassy” for Bayreuth in Australia
• Maintaining links between the Australian partner universities
• Representing Bayreuth at meetings, conferences etc.
• Coordinating visits by academics and professional staff from Bayreuth to Australia and New Zealand
• Initiating and supporting mobility and exchange of students and teaching staff
• Building joint programmes
• Providing service for joint research activities
