Hochschulforum Digitalisierung 4.0

The Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (HFD; German Forum for Higher Education in the Digital Age) supports higher education institutions across Germany in collaboratively shaping digital transformation. It strengthens the skills and competencies of staff and students, initiates development and change processes, and ensures that practical solutions translate into tangible improvements in everyday teaching and learning.

Founded in 2014, the HFD is a transfer-oriented competence centre and a joint initiative of the Stifterverband, the CHE – Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung (Centre for Higher Education), and the Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (German Rectors’ Conference). It is funded by the Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt (Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, BMFTR).
