Tasks:
The liaison office of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in São Paulo is based at the local German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) and is mainly active in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina. Its activities build on a long tradition of cooperation with institutions in the region. Its tasks include establishing and developing cooperation arrangements in the areas of research and exchange with industry partners, research institutes and universities; promoting TUM as a place to study and research, for example by specifically marketing to early career researchers and outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate students; identifying new potential in areas of relevance to TUM; increasing awareness of TUM and maintaining the alumni network in the region.

Tasks:
UAS7 has been networking its Latin American interests in Brazil since 2013. Initially through an international office at the DWIH (German Science and Innovation House) in São Paulo, since 2019 through an office at the partner university UNISINOS in São Leopoldo (Porto Alegre) in southern Brazil.
The UAS7 office in Berlin coordinates the contacts to the three joint partners: Universidade do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and the university network COMUNG (Consórcio das Universidades Comunitárias Gaúchas). The focus is on exchange of students mainly within the framework of the Internship Program (IP) and the implementation of events, mostly in cooperation with local companies.
