Ulrich Radtke re-elected as Spokesperson of the Universities in the HRK

The Rector of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Prof Dr Ulrich Radtke, will remain the Spokesperson of the Universities Member Group of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). The Member Group confirmed him today in Berlin for a second two-year term of office, ending on 31 July 2020. Radtke, who is a geographer, has been Rector of the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2008.

The Spokespersons of the Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences Member Groups are members of the HRK Executive Board.

The deputy Spokesperson, jurist Prof Dr Volker Epping, President of the University of Hanover, was also re-elected; Prof Dr Katharina Krause, President of the University of Marburg, and Prof Dr Johanna Weber, Rector of the University of Greifswald and HRK Vice-President for University Medicine and Health Sciences, were likewise re-elected as additional members of the wider group of Spokespersons.
