Jens-Peter Gaul to be appointed as new HRK Secretary-General

Dr. Jens-Peter Gaul is set to oversee the HRK Head Office. The 47-year-old, who holds a doctorate in law, fielded questions from the HRK General Meeting in Kiel today. This step concluded the appointment procedure.

Gaul will start in his new role on 11 January next year.

The future HRK Secretary-General has been the Director of the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) since 2007. Prior to this, he was the Director and Head of the DFG's Senate Committee on Strategic Planning.
