Die internationale Konferenz "Strengthening Universities, Enhancing Capacities - Higher Education Management for Development" mit Teilnehmern aus Afrika, Asien, Lateinamerika, dem Nahen Osten und Deutschland, markierte das zehnjährige erfolgreiche Bestehen des gemeinsamen DIES-Programms von HRK und DAAD. In Bonn berieten rund 160 Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Hochschulen und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit über Fragen der zukünftigen Herausforderungen im Hochschulmanagment und über die notwendigen Qualifikationen der Akteure. Im Rahmen des DIES-Programms entwickeln deutsche Hochschulen gemeinsam mit ihren Partnern Trainings- und Fortbildungsangebote für Hochschulmanager in den Schwerpunktregionen Mittelamerika, Ostafrika und Südostasien.
