With the international conference "Strengthening Universities, Enhancing Capacities - Higher Education Management for Development" the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) celebrated the ten years anniversary of their joined DIES programme. In Bonn, some 160 representatives from universities and development cooperation from Germany, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East discussed future challenges in higher education management. As part of the DIES programme, German universities and their international partners are jointly conducting training courses for higher education managers.
