HRK-DIES Seminar “Stakeholder Involvement in Higher Education in Germany and Jordan”

17/18 November 2014, Amman, Jordan

By organizing the DIES -Seminar, the HRK supports the growing interest of German universities in scientific cooperation with universities in the MENA region. Already in 2010, Jordan was chosen to be one of the key countries in the region in the field of higher education. The seminar itself should be seen as continuing the exchange of experiences between German universities which began in February 2011 with a so-called "coordination meeting Jordan" in Bonn, Germany.

As part of the DIES programme (Dialogue on Innovative Strategies in Higher Education) that was jointly conducted by the HRK and DAAD in 2001, the seminar offered a platform for discussion and exchange of experiences on how stakeholders can be more and successfully involved in higher education. In cooperation with German universities, DIES supports universities in developing countries to devise reform strategies which improve the management of institutions and the quality and relevance of study programmes.
