Helsinki, 8-10 June 2016
From 8-10 June 2016, the HRK Audit project, in cooperation with the University of Helsinki and Aalto University, carried out a study visit to Helsinki on the topic of “Internationalisation Mainstreaming”.
A delegation of 15 German university rectors and vice-rectors was given the opportunity to visit the University of Helsinki and Aalto University to learn more about their strategic and operative approaches to systematically embedding internationalisation within the institutions as a whole.
In the course of the three-day visit the group discussed options and ways of transferring such practices to the German institutional context, particularly focussing upon issues such as enhancing language and intercultural competences among both students and staff, promoting peer-learning, making use of incentives, as well as other means to further internationalise academic and non-academic staff within the university.
You can download the presentations from the individual sessions below. A selection of photos from the event can be found in the photo gallery.
